Tax self-certification
W-8BEN and CRS forms that agree with the rest of the file.
Banks, funds and payers collect tax forms from every account holder and investor. Each form is checked on its own, so a residency on the W-8BEN-E and an address in the KYC file can quietly disagree.
The work today
- Names, addresses, TINs and treaty claims retyped from documents
- Tax forms and the KYC file maintained by different teams
- Contradictions found at reporting time, or by the auditor
What changes
- W-8BEN, W-8BEN-E, W-9 and CRS self-certifications filled from one record
- Residency, addresses and controlling persons checked against the same file
- Every answer shows the document and page it came from
- Expired forms and documents flagged
